yes, there are 13 books but don't worry they're all only 200-300 pages. this was the series that sparked my reading obsession and i still adore it.since the death of his best friend, sam keeps having these crazy lucid dreams. or rather, nightmares. so much so, his therapist has made him get a dream journal to remember them.skip to him being kidnapped from school in broad daylight and finding out he is the first of only thirteen people in the world that can somehow control and live through their dreams as if they can become reality.AND he's the only person who can find said twelve other people through his own dreams. this has to be a joke right? ...right?rating; pg-13+

spirit animals series - scholastic books

don't let the age rating fool you, these are YA books and have a lot going on with 7 main books plus another main sequel series.children of age each bond with a spirit animal which can give great power to both child and animal but not every child is able to bond. thrown in the middle of a ancient war between the animal gods simply because their spirit animals are gods themselves, four teens from across Erdas must join together and find the lost talismans that can end this war. oh, and not die in the process too.adventures and animal gods aside, there's a minor pairing side plot that develops even more in the sequel series which make it all worth it imo.rating; pg-13+
